What is the busiest time of the season?

The busiest time is from the end of June until the end of July on the weekends. Weekdays are usually not as busy. We always recommend making a reservation in advance.

How many people fit on each campsite?

Most campsites accommodate 10-12 people per site. We do have group sites available, please call our office for specific details on these sites.

How many people fit on a W&E or Full Hookup campsite?

Usually 1 camper trailer & one tent can fit on one W&E/Full site. If there is not a camper trailer there is a 3 tents maximum on a W&E/Full site.

Are pets allowed?

Yes pets are allowed in our campground. They do need to be kept on a leash at all times.

Do you have a dump station?

Yes, we do have a dump station. It is located by the upper shower house.

What do I need to bring?

Some suggested items are: a tent, tent stakes, rope, sleeping bag, air mattress, pillow, camp stove, lantern, lawn chairs, insect repellent, toiletries, cookware, cooler, food and drinks. We do have a fully stocked Country Store.

How far are you from St. Louis?

We are 1 ½ hours from St. Louis.

When do you open for the season?

We are open year round. We do have limited lodging during the winter hours. We do recommend making a reservation in advance at 1-800-367-4516.

Are ATV's, 4 wheelers, dirt bikes, go carts or golf carts allowed on the premises?

No, they are not allowed in the campground.

Are horses allowed in the campground?

Horses are allowed before Memorial Day weekend and after Labor Day weekend. The cost is the same as camping fees.

Do we need reservations for camping?

Yes, we recommend a reservation on weekends, especially Memorial weekend to Labor Day weekend. Weekdays don't require a reservation, but we always recommend calling to let us know you are coming.

Do you have quiet hours in the Resort?

Yes, we have the family side where the quiet hour starts at 11:00pm and then we have the loud (zoo) side where the quiet hour starts at 1:00am.

Where do I put my trash?

We have green dumpsters located throughout the campground. Trash is to be placed in these.

What types of fish are in the streams and where is the best location to fish?

Small & Large Mouth Bass, Goggle Eye, Blue Gill, Suckers, and Sunfish. You may fish along the bank anywhere in our campground. Every now and then you might see a trout. These fish escape from trout hatchery up the Dry Creek. It doesn’t happen very often.

When is the latest we can cancel and get our money back?

We have a 10 day cancellation policy; as long as you cancel at least 10 days prior to your arrival you will get your deposit back less a $10.00 service charge. If you cancel less than 10 days prior to your arrival you will forfeit your deposit in full.

How late can we check in?

Through the week we are open until 9, Friday nights 11:00 and Saturday nights 10:00. If you arrive after these times you will check in with the night watchman on the front porch.

How far in advance should I make my camping reservations?

Camping reservations should be made at least 2 weeks, if not 2 months prior to your arrival. We tend to book up quickly for weekends Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Last minute reservations can be made depending on availability.

What do you require for deposits?

All reservations are to be paid in full before arrival. Once you make the reservation you have 10 days to pay.

Are camping prices in the loud area the same as in the family area?

No, camping prices in the Loud area are $ 15.00 per person per night. You have to be over the age of 18 to stay in the loud area. Family camping is $ 11.71 per adult, kids 8-12 are $ 7.45 and 7 and under are Free on the Weekends. Weekday prices are $ 10.12 per adult, $ 5.32 per kid and 7 and under are free. These are all per night prices.

Are there additional fees for Water and Electric or Full Hookup sites?

Water and Electric or Full hookup sites are an additional price of $ 12.78 per site per night.

Do you have showers and restrooms?

Yes we have both. There are the main restrooms and shower house at the Main Office, there is another shower house down by RV park and then one in the Loud area.

Why is there purple paint along the river?

Purple paint stands for No Trespassing to signify private property. Violators will be prosecuted. Trespassing starts at $169 per incident.

What if we get off our float late?

There is a $50.00 service charge per hour per craft taking out after 7:00 p.m.

What size of cooler can we bring?

No coolers larger than 52 quarts are allowed.

What if we damage or abandon our watercraft?

There is a $150 minimum fine for any damage to watercraft or equipment. If you abandon your watercraft or equipment you will be required to pay for it.

What comes with the price of floating?

Your float price includes rental of the equipment, paddles, trash bags, and shuttle arrangements.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are allowed on the floats they just need to be kept on a leash.

Are glass bottles allowed on the float trip?

Glass bottles or Styrofoam are not allowed on the rivers by law.

No, it is classified as class 1, which is as easy as it gets, except when the water is up! Call for water conditions.

Do we need reservations for floating?

Yes, we recommend a reservation in advance for Saturday's from Memorial Day thru Labor Day Weekend. We require full payment in advance to guarantee your float. We can’t guarantee anything unless reservations are made.

What time do your floats go out?

Our floats can leave every half hour between 8am and 2pm Monday thru Friday. Saturday floats leave anytime between 7am and 2pm.

We do offer 2 day float trips. Call our office for more details at 1-800-367-4516.

What do you require for deposits?

Reservations are recommended in advance for floating. We do require a 100% deposit within 10 days of making reservation. If payment is not received reservation is not guaranteed.
